Dean of Student Affairs (DSA), Prof. Ademola Adeleke formally swore-in

executive members of various student bodies of the University of Lagos-

faculty, departmental, distance learning Institute (DLI) and hall of residence of

the University of Lagos- to their various positions.

He gave this advice during the swearing-in ceremony of the excos, which held

Thursday 9 th march, 2017 at the Afe Babalola Lecture theatre.

The Dean tasked the newly sworn-in executive members and representatives to

live up to the expectations of their various positions for which they were

elected. He admonished them to provide a stable, visionary and responsible

leadership to their constituencies and fellow students and to also uphold the

glory of the university in all that they did.

The executives took turns to take the oath of office and pledge of service,

individually, promising to work by the guided principles laid down by the

university.

The elected students are on average grade point of 3.0 or more which is one of

the prerequisite for being elected into any of the positions. Some of the voting

was done online, an experiment the student Affairs Division says it is keying

into, in allying with the efforts of the university to digitalise most of its

activities, including academics.

The DSA also answered questions posed by concerned students regarding the

state of the hostels, and of their general wellbeing. He assured them that the

University will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that students are adequately

catered for.

Awards and certificate of service were given to out-going executives who had

served in various capacities during the 2015/2016 academic session.
