There is no end in sight to the feud between Former President Goodluck Jonathan and the incumbent Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai as Gov El-Rufai again accused the former President of not being man enough to take responsibility over any of the numerous mistakes committed by his administration.

Mallam El-Rufai told Nigerians not to be surprised at his denial over the role the former president played concerning the Ecological Fund misappropriation.

Dr. Jonathan had denied the Kaduna state helmsman’s stance that he granted a sum of N2 billion Ecological Fund to states controlled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during his tenure.

He accused the Kaduna State governor of being a ‘notorious liar’, who always lied anytime he speaks.

But in response to Former President Jonthan’s claims, Gov. El-Rufaí, through his spokesman, Samuel Aruwan, said that former President Goodluck Jonathan has failed to justify why he only made the funds available to his cronies instead of all the states across the federation.

The former FCT minister described the immediate past president as a man who cannot take responsibility for anything.

He added that “In March 2015, not long after making concession call to President Buhari, he summoned his pecks and asked them to reject the result of an election whose winner he had congratulated in private, that effort and publicity failed spectacularly and the will of people prevailed. So no one should be surprised that he is denying presiding over the discrete distribution of the ecological funds.

“His denial begs the question, what special circumstance ensured that only states that were controlled by the PDP and its allied parties qualified for the N2 billion each.”

Mallam El-RUFAI stated further that the former president cannot dispute the fact that the payments are in the record of ecological fund.

He said Dr. Jonathan was not saying the fact that money was also disbursed for the Green Wall Project in some northern states.

According to the Kaduna state governor, the former president had failed to prove how he (El-Rufai) lied over the way the former President disbursed the N2billion Ecological Fund.

It would be recalled that former President Goodluck Jonathan had earlier accused Mallam Nasir El-Rufai of benefitting from his administration insisting that he still has the governor’s emails and CV copies which were sent to him personally by Mallam El-Rufai to solicit political appointment while his administration made a sum of #200,000,000 cash available to the governor to support his ambition and campaign to clinch the governorship seat of Kaduna state.
