As part of effort towards providing a solid background for Physics students of tertiary institutions, a book titled “Revised Physics” has been written.

The launch of the Book which attracted dignitaries from within and outside the University, held at Afe Babalola Auditorium, University of Lagos.

The author, who is also a lecturer at the Department of Physics, UNILAG, Dr. Uzoma Oduah, said he used the Book to express his thought to the generality of Physics students.

Dr. Oduah recalled that one of his students, Victor inspired him to write a book that portrays the same way he teaches in class and that gave birth to “Revised Physics”.

The Book reviewer, Professor Segun Odioh said “Revised Physics” was written in Nigerian context with 300 diagrams to aids easy learning and assimilation of students.

On his part, Sub Dean, Faculty of Science, Dr. Andrew Akala said Science Faculty is very proud of the author’s relentless effort in making the book a reality. He said Revised Physics has added to Dr Oduah bonus, having won an award at the Institute of Electrical and Electronic, Asia.

The Chief Host of the event, who is also the Vice Chancellor University of Lagos, said the book Revised Physics by Dr Oduah is one that will aid the better understanding of Physics in Tertiary Institutions across the globe.

Professor Ogundipe who was represented by Professor Oluwole Familoye gave kudos to the author for a job well done and advised individuals not to pirate the book.

The Chairman of the programme, Mr Johnson Chukwu acknowledged that Dr Oduah has written his name on the sand of time by writing a book which generations to come will benefit from.
